Our journey didn’t start in a boardroom. Chris Edwards left a corporate career at Deloitte in 2020, bought a flooring store in Steamboat Springs knowing essentially nothing about the trade, and built it into the largest flooring operation in that market — over 1,500 jobs completed. He didn’t just learn flooring. He learned that the industry was missing something most contractors never think about: hospitality.
After selling that business and moving back to his hometown of Niwot to be closer to family, Chris reconnected with Randi Pilon — a long-time colleague from their days working together at Zayo Group — and they built Right This Way from scratch. Same belief driving both of them: that a flooring company could be the kind of business people actually want to tell their neighbors about.
Randi spent over a decade in leadership and product roles in telecom, including at Zayo Group, where she and Chris first worked together, before joining him to build RTW in 2025. She brought a customer experience mindset this industry rarely sees. She leads sales, partnerships, and every client interaction from first contact to signed proposal, and holds CFI certifications in Carpet, Laminate, and LVP.
Chris and Randi founded RTW on the principle of Honest Pricing. We’ve seen the ‘unexpected’ fees other companies tack on at the end.
