Waterproof, Pet-Friendly Flooring Built for Colorado Living
100% waterproof, scratch and dent proof, zero maintenance, comfortable underfoot, climate stable.
Colorado winters mean wet boots. Unlike hardwood (which stains) or laminate (which swells), luxury vinyl is 100% waterproof. You can mop up that puddle of melted snow hours later, and your floor will be perfectly fine.
Basements in Erie, Lafayette, and Broomfield sit on shifting soils. Because LVP is typically installed as a “floating floor,” it can handle slight subfloor movement and moisture from the concrete slab better than almost any other material.
Tile is durable but freezing cold on winter mornings. LVP stays closer to room temperature and is softer underfoot, making it the smarter choice for kitchens and living areas where you stand for hours.
Hardwood is the gold standard for ROI, but it requires babying. LVP gives you 95% of the aesthetic—including textured grain and beveled edges—at a lower price point and with zero anxiety about water damage or humidity control.
Older laminate was notorious for swelling at the seams if a dishwasher leaked. Modern LVP uses a stone-polymer (SPC) or wood-polymer (WPC) core that is impervious to water. If a pipe bursts, you can often pull up the LVP, dry the subfloor, and reinstall it.
Tile offers excellent heat and water resistance with a true ceramic or stone surface. Luxury vinyl is generally warmer, quieter and faster to install.
Light oak and natural wood tones can brighten rooms and complement Boulder’s modern and mountain-inspired interiors. Wider planks and low-contrast grain patterns create a calm, open look.
Large-format LVT can recreate slate, travertine and concrete visuals without grout maintenance or the cold feel of ceramic tile. It can work well in laundry rooms, entries and selected kitchens.
A thicker wear layer can provide added surface protection, but thickness alone does not determine quality. We help homeowners compare wear-layer specifications, finish technology, warranty coverage and expected traffic.
A flat, stable subfloor is essential for a long-lasting Luxury Vinyl Plank installation. We repair dips, high spots, and uneven areas to help prevent movement, gaps, and premature wear.
While LVP is stable, we still recommend letting it sit in your home for 24-48 hours. This prevents “thermal shock” if the planks were stored in a freezing warehouse before install.
Professional installation means precise cuts around door jambs, transitions, and trim. The result is a clean, finished appearance without unnecessary gaps or bulky transition pieces.
Floating Luxury Vinyl Plank floors allow for natural expansion and contraction with seasonal changes. This installation method performs especially well in Colorado’s changing climate.
Luxury Vinyl Plank isn’t scratch-proof, but premium wear layers help resist everyday scratches from pets, furniture, and busy family life while keeping floors looking newer longer.
Colorado’s sunshine can be intense. Many modern Luxury Vinyl Plank products include UV-resistant finishes that help reduce fading and maintain their color over time.
Luxury Vinyl Plank stands up to spills, muddy shoes, pet accidents, and everyday messes. Simply wipe away moisture without worrying about swelling or permanent staining.
Price includes complete waterproof protection.
Not anymore. “Rigid Core” (SPC) vinyl is actually mostly limestone dust mixed with polymers. It feels solid, heavy, and substantial—not hollow or plastic-y like the old sheet vinyl from the 90s.
Yes. High-quality LVP is now considered a premium finish, especially in basements and family homes. Buyers love “maintenance-free” living.
Often, yes! As long as your existing tile or linoleum is flat and securely adhered, we can usually float LVP right over the top, saving you the mess and cost of demolition.
The wear layer is the clear protective coating on top. For a standard home, 12 mil is fine. for a busy home with pets, we recommend 20 mil or higher. We’ll help you pick the right armor for your lifestyle.
We only sell FloorScore® Certified vinyls. This means they are tested for low VOCs and are safe for your family and pets. No weird chemical smells.

I’m writing this review as I’m so pleased with the meticulous LVP flooring job done by Right This Way Flooring this past week. The folks involved from Juan, Margarita, Juan & Chris to Aleah and Jacky on the front end did an excellent job organizing and implementing. Communication was clear and job done on time with detail and finesse. I highly recommend!
Aleah is so incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We were considering carpet but once she showed us their other flooring options we ended up going with the vinyl plank. It’s waterproof and scratch resistant which is much better for our cats and looks amazing. I really appreciate the thorough help. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new flooring!
Me and my wife were so stressed out about finding the perfect LVP for our new place and thanks God we meet Aleah she was super nice and helpful. She helped us choose the right materiel and The technician guy Juan was just an amazing professional worker who did a great job to help us own a house with such a beautiful floor.
